Ideal for adventure enthusiasts, this tour offers a perfect balance of cycling on low-traffic mountain roads, soft trekking in protected national parks, and authentic cultural experiences—including visits to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, Punakha Dzong, Gangtey Valley, and the remote Nabji–Korphu trail.

Itinerary

Arrive at Paro International Airport and transfer to your hotel. After bike fitting and safety checks, enjoy a relaxed cycling warm-up through Paro Valley, visiting local villages and cultural landmarks.
Overnight in Paro

Drive through Thimphu and cross the iconic Dochula Pass (3,140 m), stopping for tea and panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayan range. Visit Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple) and the majestic Punakha Dzong at the confluence of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.
Overnight in Punakha
Hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, offering breathtaking valley views. Later, cycle along peaceful village roads beside the Pho Chhu River. In the afternoon, visit Limukha Village and enjoy a thrilling downhill ride on near-empty roads.
Overnight in Punakha / Optional Farmhouse Stay
Drive through Black Mountain National Park, cross Labanla Pass, and cycle downhill into the stunning Phobjikha Valley. Visit Gangtey Monastery and bike along nature trails while spotting the endangered Black-Necked Cranes (seasonal).
Overnight in Gangtey
Cross Pele La Pass (3,300 m) with optional cycling segments through remote villages. Arrive in Trongsa and explore the impressive Trongsa Dzong and its watchtower museum.
Overnight in Trongsa
Drive to Jangbi Village and begin trekking through dense subtropical forests rich in birdlife. Pass sacred stone imprints linked to Guru Rinpoche before reaching the remote settlement of Kubdra.
Overnight in Tent Camp
Trek through lush forests, streams, and waterfalls, spotting wildlife such as monkeys, squirrels, and exotic birds. Reach Nabji Village, known for its historic peace treaty site and terraced rice fields.
Overnight at Safari-Style Camp (Nabji)
Cycle or drive uphill to Korphu Village, home of the indigenous Monpa community. Enjoy a long downhill cycling route through Nimshong Village, then drive to riverside camp near Tingtibi.
Overnight in Riverside Camp
Morning birdwatching and cycling in Zhemgang region, followed by a scenic drive to Gelephu, Bhutan’s southern gateway near Assam plains.
Overnight in Gelephu
Drive through subtropical lowlands to Tsirang (Damphu), enjoying sweeping views of terraced hills and villages. Continue along the Sunkosh River to Wangdue.
Overnight near Wangdue
Cross Dochula Pass again and hike to Lungchuzekha Monastery. Descend to Trashigang Village, cycle downhill to Hongtsho, and drive to Thimphu. Visit Tashichho Dzong in the evening.
Overnight in Thimphu
Explore Thimphu’s cultural highlights before driving to Paro. Enjoy leisure time strolling through Paro town and shopping for handicrafts.
Overnight in Paro
Hike to the legendary Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), Bhutan’s most iconic pilgrimage site perched dramatically on a cliff. Afternoon at leisure in Paro Valley.
Overnight in Paro
