The Tshona Pata Lake Trek is

this trek crosses ancient trade routes to Tibet, high mountain passes above

Begin your trek from Haa Valley, walking through dense forests of conifers and rhododendrons. Ascend
gradually to Tale La Pass (2,800 m)
before continuing toward Tshojo,
a seasonal yak herder camp.
The trail then climbs steadily to the dramatic
Gochu La Pass (4,200 m),
offering panoramic Himalayan views, before descending to your campsite at Womji, surrounded by untouched alpine
wilderness.

Today’s challenging trek ascends steeply
through juniper and rhododendron forests
to Goche La Pass (4,350 m),

Traverse vast alpine meadows dotted with wildflowers in spring and pass through remote yak herder camps. Cross Tsheja La Pass, part of the ancient Haa–Tibet trade route, before descending to the stunning Tshona Pata Lake, your campsite for the night.

Spend a peaceful acclimatization and
exploration day at Tshona Pata Lake,
one of Bhutan’s most pristine high-altitude lakes. Enjoy short walks around the
lake, spot golden trout in the

yak herder settlements for insight into highland Bhutanese life.

Retrace the trail back toward Goche La Pass before following a scenic
ridge to Tshojo Lake (3,780 m).
This section offers stunning lake and mountain views.
Descend gently through open yak pastures to
reach your campsite at Tsang, a
serene location surrounded by alpine landscapes.

Duration: 6–7 Hours
On the final day, descend gradually through
forests of juniper and rhododendron,
crossing Tale La Pass once more
before entering the lush Haa Valley.

your hotel in Haa, marking the
