The Jomolhari–Lingshi Trek is

Depart Paro
early in the morning for a scenic 3-hour drive to Gunetshawa via the historic Drukgyel Dzong. After completing permit formalities,
begin your trek with a gradual ascent along the Pa Chhu River, entering Jigme Dorji National Park.
Walk through forests and open valleys before
reaching Soi Thangthangkha, your
first campsite. Weather permitting, enjoy your first spectacular views of Mount Jomolhari rising
majestically above the valley.

The trail gradually ascends to Jangothang, widely regarded as one of
the most beautiful base camps in the Himalayas. Surrounded by chortens and
prayer flags, the campsite offers jaw-dropping views of Mount Jomolhari (7,314 m) and nearby
peaks.
Overnight: Tented Campsite
Spend the day acclimatizing with optional
hikes to nearby viewpoints and alpine lakes. Enjoy close-up views of Jomolhari and Jichu Drake, and keep an
eye out for wildlife such as blue sheep.
A highly recommended excursion is the hike to Tshophu Lake, a pristine high-altitude
lake known for its abundance of trout and scenic mountain reflections.

Cross the spectacular Nyile La Pass, one of the highest points of the trek,

Descend gradually to Lingshi Village, the last permanent settlement in this
remote valley. Time permitting, take an optional hike toward Tserim Kang Base Camp, known for
wildlife sightings and pristine fishing spots.

Today’s challenging trek crosses Yele La Pass, rewarded with panoramic

Descend into a wide alpine valley to your
campsite at Shodu, set beside a
mountain stream amidst open meadows.

Duration: 5–6 Hours
Campsite Altitude: 3,680 m
Follow the Thimphu Chhu River through a dramatic canyon landscape,
crossing the river multiple times and passing through cypress and pine forests.
Reach Barshong,
marking the end of the trek. From here, transfer by road to your accommodation
in Thimphu or Paro, concluding
this unforgettable Bhutan Himalayan adventure.
