Itinerary

Arrive at Phuentsholing, the bustling gateway town to Bhutan. Meet your Teem Travel Bhutan representative and check in to your hotel.
Explore the vibrant town, where Indian and Bhutanese cultures blend seamlessly. In the evening, visit Zangtho Pelri Lhakhang, a serene temple in the city centre, and stroll through local markets.
Overnight in Phuentsholing.

After breakfast, drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital city. Check in at your homestay and savor authentic Bhutanese cuisine prepared by a traditional family.
Spend the evening interacting with locals and understanding Bhutanese customs.

Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point)

Drive up to the massive 169-foot Buddha Dordenma Statue, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, located amidst Kuensel Phodrang Nature Park.

Tango Monastery
Visit the ancient Tango Monastery, founded in the 13th century by Phajo Drugom Zhigpo. The complex consists of six uniquely designed temples, offering spiritual depth and stunning views.

Overnight in Thimphu.

After breakfast, drive towards Punakha with a scenic stop at Dochula Pass (3,100m). Enjoy coffee while admiring the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and panoramic Himalayan views.

Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple)

Enjoy a 1.5-hour countryside hike to this sacred temple dedicated to Drukpa Kunley, also known as “The Divine Madman.”

Punakha Dzong

Visit Bhutan’s most beautiful dzong, located at the confluence of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. Explore its majestic courtyards and ancient murals.

Punakha Suspension Bridge

Cross one of Bhutan’s longest suspension bridges, offering scenic river and valley views.

Drive to Paro (3–4 hours) and check in at your homestay / hotel

Ta Dzong (National Museum)

Visit the ancient watchtower-turned-museum housing over 3,000 artifacts, some dating back to the 8th century.

Kyichu Lhakhang

One of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, built by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo.

Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong)

Admire the grand fortress-monastery renowned for its exquisite Bhutanese architecture and spiritual significance.

Overnight in Paro.

Today is the highlight of your Bhutan journey—a trek to the legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched 900 meters above the Paro Valley.

  • 1.5–2 hour hike to the viewpoint

  • Stunning panoramic views

  • Tea break at the Viewpoint Cafeteria

  • Additional 1-hour climb to the monastery

Legend says Guru Rinpoche flew here on the back of a tigress in the 8th century and meditated for 3 months.
The monastery, restored after a fire in 1998, remains one of the world’s most sacred Buddhist sites.

Overnight in Paro.

Drive to the pristine Haa Valley through the spectacular Chele La Pass, one of Bhutan’s highest motorable passes (3,988m).

Experience serene forests, rice terraces, and traditional villages surrounding the Torse Chu River.
